De quantas pessoas escravizadas depende o teu estilo de vida?

Imagem para refletir sobre nós, o outro e o mundo que queremos construir.

To Do List

Talk to people next to you. Say hello and good bye. Say thank you and smile to the waiter or waitress or uber driver or bus driver. To the clerk, to whoever you have to exchange words with during the day.. grab a real book. Smell the paper. Feel the texture. Listen to the noise of pages being turned. Carry it around with you or comics.

Take care of a plant and a pet. Take a dog to walk outside instead of taking a video of it sleeping. Lay on the grass and watch the sky. The leaves. Feel the air. Watch the rain fall instead of taking a picture of it. Do not take a selfie in at least one week. Do not watch the news. Go help someone with something instead like going to the grocery store for someone, get them their meds or help them clean up or go for a ride with a friend you have not seen in a while.

Program quick lunches with pals who might be in the area at the moment. My brother does that: "who's in town near X right now? Let's get a coffee" and then two or three get together even if his friends haven't met between them before. They have my brother in common. And they make new friends. Sit to wstch people while you have lunch or dinner outside. Dare yourself to not touch FB, Snapchat, Whatsapp, IG for a whole day or more and just call people on the phone. No texting.

Draw. Even if you don't know how to. Look for real groups to do stuff you like llike biking, bicycling, skating (even if your older than 50, fuck that, do what you like), gardening, hiking, running, swimming, bird watching, crafting, cosplaying, get to learn something you have never done before like knitting, cooking special exotic meals, wood work, painting, star gazing, singing, get in a choir, learn to play an instrument and do not stop. Form a band, stay away from the  if you do have a band. Play only locally and record your own stuff. Stay away from record deals. Do it for fun and passion. Not fame and glory. Entertain. Experiment. Don't get swallowed by Hollywood. Stay away fron Hollywood.

Go watch a movie alone or with friends. Have lots of sweet sex. Play board games or videogames but always for two or more. Sing out loud in the shower. Feed doves. Help homeless people. Visit elderly people's shelters and listen to their stories. Help a neighbor fix his roof or wash your car with your kids and play with water. Pillow fighting. Organize water balloon fights or Nerf battles with friends at a park. Paint ball wars. Learn a martial art. Learn Yoga even if it's trending and over rated. Yoga and Tai Chi is always good no matter if it's popular or not. Lose weight, gain weight, exercise, eat right.

Stop drug abuse, get clean. Find someone, leave that abusive person or quit that sick relationship and move on. Meet new people but do it right. No cheating even if he or she cheats on you already. You do it right. Save that relationship. Save that marriage or move on.

Have you ever make a kite fly before? Make love using candle lights. Last longer. Kiss longer. Hug longer. Try new positions, different places. Try that icecream flavor you always ignore, try a new drink. Save money and go travel to another country. Go backpacking across the country and offer to work on anything in exchange for a bed and a meal. Do the lawn. Plant flowers and trees.

Be friends with that foreign person. Talk to that white girl, to that black guy, to that asian kid, to the russian lady, to that veteran, to that rasta man, to the latina clerk or teacher or secretary or mom or gym instructor or executive, to the middle eastern couple, that gay couple.Talk to them. Smile. Shake hands. Help those spanish or mexican or french or german tourists. Offer help, directions, learn from them.

Learn to dance. Get in a plastic pool on summer if you don't have a real pool. Have fun. Sun glasses, a drink, sunblock, a hat, get your ass in that kid's pool with your dog and relax. Invite friends. Fill your house with balloons for the fuck of it.

Organize a Garage Sell. Clean your car. Rearrange your bed room. Throw old stuff. Clean those collectables, toys and figures. Throw those old shoes or give them to a homeless person. Fix your home. Bake bread. Quit that stupid job and do something different for once. Deliver pizzas, be the postman, teach people what you know. Work at a gas station. Be a clerk, be a bartender, be a waitress, make bread and sell it, work at a coffee place, selling surf boards, be a school bus driver, be a tourist bus driver, do something that makes you deal with people in person.

These jobs wont pay much but it's a good job and there is nothi g shameful about these jobs at all. It's reality. Work on something that is helpful or brings joy to people somehow. Work at an amusement park or Haunted house. Look them in the eyes. Shake hands and smile. Connect. Charity work once a week. Visit cancer patients.

Respect even if you are not respected. Say thanks even if they don't thank you. Say good morning and amile even if they don't answer back. Be here and now. Be alive. Breathe. Love. Hug. Talk. Help people get in touch again. Don't be lazy. Help that depressed friend. Be useful. Be good company. Be kind. Be warm. Wake up!
